Microsoft's exam retake promotion is coming to an end on May 31, which
means just a sliver of time remains to take advantage of it.
Microsoft's "Second-Shot Offer" allows anyone taking and failing
an MCP exam from March 1 until May 31 to retake that exam. According to
the offer posted on the MCP site, candidates can retake an exam only once,
but the retake can be applied to as many exams as a candidate can take
until the offer ends.
With time running out, exam candidates have about one and a half weeks
left to study and to take exams. The retake must be completed by June
30, 2005.
To qualify for the promotion, registration is mandatory. To find out
more, go to http://www.microsoft.com/learning/mcp/offers/2ndshot/.
Microsoft has a similar offer for candidates who plan to take competency
exams. The MBS Second-Shot offer continues to run until July 30, 2005.
For more information on competency exams, see "Second-Shot for MBS
Exams " at http://mcpmag.com/news/article.asp?EditorialsID=784.
In related news: Also coming to a close is free access to Microsoft's
MCDST skills assessment tool, which contains 30 timed questions for assessing
fundamental Windows XP support competency. The tool requires registration
to use it.
