Microsoft Names Citrix Global ISV Partner of the Year
Company known for remote computer access tools recognized for ability to deliver Microsoft solutions to enterprises, mid-market companies.
For the second time in three years, Citrix Systems Inc. received Microsoft’s
Global ISV Partner of the Year Award. Microsoft presented the award to the access
infrastructure solution provider in recognition of the company’s ability
to deliver Microsoft solutions to its customers, according to a press release.
Microsoft presented the award to Citrix at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference
in Minneapolis.
“Those at Citrix have set themselves apart from an extremely competitive
field, and we applaud them for this well-deserved victory,” said Allison
Watson, vice president of the Worldwide Partner Sales and Marketing Group at
Microsoft.
“With 98 percent of our business on Windows and with our reach to more
than 6,200 channel and alliance joint partners in more than 100 countries, we
are honored and pleased to again receive this reward,” said David Jones,
senior vice president, corporate development, for Citrix. “Grounded in
our longstanding and growing relationship with Microsoft, Citrix continues to
be best-in-class in our focus on embracing and extending the Windows platform.
The benefactors of this relationship are our joint customers, who get the best
platform from Microsoft and Citrix and the access infrastructure solutions that
meet their needs.”
In the three years that Microsoft has presented the award, Citrix won the top
honor in 2003 and 2005. Citrix made it on the list of finalists in 2004, but
Microsoft bestowed the honor that year to Quest Software.
Citrix makes Citrix Access Suite 4.0, a former iteration of what was called
MetaFrame Presentation Manager. Based in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Citrix has offices
